Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
 

The Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 1st, 2023.

The applicant should demonstrate a knowledge of the global creative and entertainment industries with a specialty in data analytics. Experience within a creative & entertainment industry sector with a focus on issues relating to data analytics and storytelling in the areas of music, television, film, theme parks or video games preferred. The applicant will be responsible for teaching courses in decision-making and analytics in entertainment, the creative & entertainment industries, first year seminar and other courses yet to be developed and assigned. The candidate will be expected to develop industry partnerships while working closely with current Belmont stakeholders. They will be expected to design curriculum that will best prepare students for the continuously evolving sector of data analytics and storying telling as it applies to the creative economy. Additional responsibilities will include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarship, and college and university service.  

A Master's degree in a related area is a minimum to apply, a terminal degree is required for tenure; teaching experience strongly preferred.
