From The Editor

Welcome to the MEIEA Journal. This journal was created by the Music & Entertainment Industry Educators Association. We hope that it will fill a need for more authorative and well-researched information about the music industry. As companies and new technologies emerge, there is a great need for thoughtful consideration and informed opinion on the issues that will transform the entertainment industry in the 21st century.

Thanks to all of the editorial reviewers and to Dr. Lynn Schenbeck of Agnes Taylor College for providing some of the original impetus for the journal.

Papers for next year’s issue should be sent to:

Dr. Scott Fredrickson Music Business Program Loyola University New Orleans New Orleans, LA 70118

The deadline for submission is October 15, 2000, for publication in Spring, 2001.
